After a formal training in London, Karl worked at the Waterside Inn in Bray, with the Roux brothers at the Ritz and Gavroche, Kensington Place and at a director's private restaurant in London. In Europe, Karl worked as senior Sous-Chef at Domaine Gayda, Chef de Cuisine at the Relais Royal and a private Chef de Cuisine for a number of clients (France and Italy). In January 2017, Karl and Emma opened the Relais de Mirepoix.
